                                       User Master


With this version of the package we have included a new feature which provides a separate set of privileges for each user of "Leo Gold" to enjoy. Thus, the package has got the multi - User capability with this new feature. Besides, it provides privacy and secrecy of User Data with the help of Password protection. Only the Owner of the Package who also happens to be the administrator can use all the privileges. An administrator / owner of the package can :—

1. Create new Users,

2. Assign Privileges to the newly created user,

3. Change password as and when needed,

4. Delete Unwanted Users.

A normal user who is not an administrator can only enjoy the privileges given to him by the Administrator

 When the package is initially run by the administrator when there is no other user than the administrator, he can use the package normally without adding any new user if he does not want to hide any privilege to other users of the package.

In order to make use of multi - user capability of the package, the administrator needs to create a new user using the option provided in the "User Master" for this purpose.

                       

When an administrator adds any new user, he would surely like to assign a password to him/her so that user can protect his/her data from other users of the package.By Default, No Login Password is required at application startup. If you want user to enter password each time he/she runs the package, then there is an "Option" submenu at "Set Up" which has a further submenu called "Set Start Up Password" which is unchecked by default. Once checked, when the package is started the next time, it shows the Login screen which is shown below.

                         

By Default, the Password is Blank for Admin i.e., there is no need to specify any password. If Administrator wants to change password to something else he/she can exercise Change Password option provided either at the SetUp Main Menu or "User Master" in the Masters Menu.

                                 

Along with the Start Up password option at the Set Up menu, we have another option called "Show User Name at Log On". By Default, this option is unchecked. When this option is checked by the administrator, the Login window at the startup displays the name of the current user of the package i.e., the one who has logged out the last. In other words, we can say that the last Logged In user of the package becomes the default user of the package. 

             
A current user can Log in as a different user using the Re - Login option provided under the Set Up menu. This is useful when an administrator wants to look in the setting of a user or user’s Account or other protected data. When the Re - Login option is exercised a user can see the Welcome User message stating that the another user has logged in.



Change Password and Re - Login option is also provided at the Command Button in the top left corner of the main screen.

We have other options in the User - Master besides adding new users as shown in the User Master Screen.

1. Adding New User. Here Admin needs to specify the New User Name being created along with the password to be retyped to confirm. Password length should vary between 5 to 20. Then there is Hint Question & Answer which admin can provide to the user being created so that in case the user does not remember the password, he has the option to go in for the correct answer of the question at the time of Log In using the Forgot Password option.

                                 

2. Change Password. An admin can change any user’s password & Hint Question/Answer using the option for this in the User - Master.

                                 

3. Delete User. An admin can remove any user from using the package any more by just clicking the Delete User option in the user master after selecting the specified user from the User’s list.

 4. Change Privilege. An admin can restrict any user from using a privilege any more by de -selecting the privilege options shown below or when admin wants to give any user more privilege than what he enjoys till now he/she can check the privilege boxes. An admin can allow/disallow the Printer Setting to be changed by a user. There is also an option where the default privilege setting for the new user can be changed by the admin. When it is changed, any new user created afterwards get the same privilege setting.
